WA:Perth man guilty of $6m ecstasy conspiracy

A Perth jury has convicted a man of involvement in a six million dollar drug conspiracy.

KOSTA DONCEV was on trial in the Perth District Court, charged with conspiring to possess
ecstasy and attempting to possess the drug with intent to sell and supply in 2007.

The jury returned its guilty verdict on both charges late Friday night.

Judge STEPHEN SCOTT had instructed the jury the prosecution's case was circumstantial,
relying on partial DNA found on a glove, a mobile phone and a sim card, as well as phone
tap conversations between DONCEV and another man.

During the phone conversations, DONCEV instructed another man to dig up a drum full
of drugs from a backyard in Safety Bay in Perth's south, and move it.

NSW:NSW treasurer defends electricity sell-off

NSW:NSW treasurer defends electricity sell-off

SYDNEY, Dec 15 AAP - The resignation of board members in the wake of NSW's electricity
privatisation is a "minor hitch" in a major process, says Treasurer Eric Roozendaal.

The NSW Government announced on Tuesday night the $5.3 billion sale of electricity
assets and is expected to spend Wednesday spruiking the deals.

The announcement sparked the resignation of eight of the 11 board members of state-owned
companies Eraring and Delta Electricity.

When questioned about the resignations the treasurer said that out of the directors
of the six companies involved "most of those directors co-operated with the process, the
others we resolved the issues with".

"We're talking about a major two-year transaction, they (company directors) were simply
asked whether they believed these deals were commercially appropriate for their individual
companies," Mr Roozendaal told ABC Radio on Wednesday morning.

"They were not looking at the public policy objectives of the government. They were
not looking at the benefits to the tax payers, they were looking narrowly at what they
believed was interpreting the responsibilities for their organisations."

Mr Roozendaal moved to defend the transactions, which were signed-off at about midnight
(AEDT) Tuesday, labelling them a "$5.3 billion win for the people of NSW".

"The state's financial position is now stronger and it's a great result that secures
the state's triple-A energy rating - and it means we'll have a stronger and more competitive
electricity market," he said.

"We had some issues last night. Those issues have been resolved and the transaction
was completed late last night."

"The important issues here is that we've now completed the first part of our energy
reform strategy.

"This is a process that's been ongoing for well over two years and the the individual
organisations were well aware of the process.

"What's important here is the outcome for the people of NSW and the government has
met its objectives of getting out of the very volatile retail business and for the first
time getting private sector investment into generation.

"All due process has been followed, there was an army of lawyers and advisers working
on this transaction for well over two years and right up until the late hours of last
night to make sure that everything was done appropriately," he said.

Replacement directors have already been appointed to fill positions created by the
resignations overnight Tuesday.

Mr Roozendaal said the new directors had been prepared to step in at the last minute.

"We were prepared for all eventualities as you are whenever you're doing a major transaction,
but this is a big win for the taxpayers of NSW," he said.

The treasurer said that the deal was finally signed at around midnight (AEDT) on Tuesday.

RL: Winterstein thanks Sailor for lesson

By Wayne Heming

BRISBANE, April 6 AAP - Rather than complain about Dragons motor-mouth Wendell Sailor's
sledging, young Brisbane winger Antonio Winterstein aims to use hard-learned lessons from
his boyhood idol against Sydney Roosters on Friday.

Dual international Sailor showed 20-year-old Roosters cast-off Winterstein little mercy
when they went head to head during St George-Illawarra's 25-12 upset of the Broncos last
Friday night.

Like Broncos fullback Karmichael Hunt, Winterstein took despite illness.

And he was felling a lot sicker 80 minutes later after Sailor gave him a crash course
in how to play and how to sledge.

Sailor was Winterstein's hero as he grew up watching the Broncos.

And he appreciated the gesture when Sailor told him later to "keep my head up".

"He's still a guy I look up to," said the softly spoken Winterstein.

"He was one of my childhood heroes.

One of Winterstein's mistakes could have been paying Sailor too much respect.

"I learned a lot from him," he said.

"I learned I have to muscle up and be aggressive, he (Sailor) showed me a lot of that."

Winterstein, who was invited to train with Brisbane in the off-season, has impressed
coach Ivan Henjak so much he has started in all four games so far, did not want to criticise
Sailor.

"I had a shocker," he said on Monday.

"There was a bit of chatter, nothing personal really.

"But after I made a couple of mistakes he got into my ear a fair bit."

Brisbane captain Darren Lockyer commented after the game that even though he played
on the opposite of the field to Sailor he could "still hear him."

Of Samoan heritage, Winterstein is a product of Logan Brothers where his mum runs the
game day canteen.

He hails from Marsden State High which also unearthed Israel Folau.

The pair have become close friends at the Broncos with Test star Folau, a year younger,
passing on tips to his recent schoolmate.

Winterstein is hoping Henjak sticks with him on Friday so he can play against another
promising Brisbane youngster Rohan Ahern, under consideration to be named in the Roosters'
centres.

Ahern is a product of Norths St Josephs which developed former Queensland and Australian
players Greg Conescu and Joe Kilroy as well Wallaby destroyer Rocky Elsom.

The pair shared a flat when Winterstein played for the Roosters U-20 side last year.

Vic: Father avoids jail after causing baby's brain damage

MELBOURNE, April 2 AAP - A Melbourne father who shook his six-week-old daughter so
severely that she suffered brain damage has avoided jail, because he's now the best person
to care for her.

Peter Rallis, 40, of Carnegie, today received a three-year suspended jail sentence
after he pleaded guilty to negligently causing serious injury to Alexia Elizabeth Rallis,
now two.

The Victorian County Court heard Rallis admitted shaking Alexia, then six weeks old,
twice while he was looking after her in February, 2005.

On the first occasion, Alexia was crying so he picked her up and shook her to calm
her, Rallis told police.

He then returned about 20 minutes later, picked her up again. She was "like jelly"

and he shook her again to get a response, but she did not react.

She was admitted to the Royal Children's Hospital with swelling to the brain, bleeding
eyes and seizures, the court heard.

Alexia, now suffers cerebral palsy, spasticity, a post-natal diffuse cerebral injury
and seizures.

Judge Frances Hogan said Rallis' actions had destroyed the potential of a perfect newborn
baby to have a normal life.

She said Alexia's injuries were extensive, debilitating and permanent, and she would
have to depend on others for her basic needs.

However, Judge Hogan also recognised that since the offence Rallis had quit his job,
became Alexia's main carer and devoted himself to her needs.

She said if he was imprisoned this would disadvantage her and his family.

"I consider this to be one of those rare cases where mercy should be extended in the
interest of Alexia's welfare so that her routine of care, which has now been in place
for 15 months, is not being disturbed by requiring you to serve an immediate custodial
sentence".

"Ironically, although you are the person who caused her to be so needy, you are the
best person to continue to address her needs."

SA: Another bushfire sparked in SA's south-east

ADELAIDE, Dec 1 AAP - Fire authorities say a fire burning near Mr Gambier, in South
Australia's south-east, could pose a threat to public safety.

More than 130 firefighters today converged on a blaze burning at Burrungule, as it
heads in a south-easterly direction towards the town of Compton.

The Country Fire Service (CFS) has advised residents to take shelter in their homes
or in a solid structure.

They also said the Princes Highway had been closed in the area.

"The fire is burning in a pine forest and is currently around 150 hectares in size,"

the CFS said.

"More than 130 volunteer firefighters are on the scene assisted by three aerial water
bombing aircraft."

The south-east blaze was just one of several occupying firefighters across SA.

A major concern was a series of fires burning in the Riverland which had destroyed
more than 30,000 hectares of scrub after being sparked by lightning on Monday.

A CFS spokeswoman said about 125 firefighters were deployed to the area yesterday and
more joined the battle today.

Work this morning included strengthening of control lines on the southern boundary
through a backburning operation.

The CFS said other fires were burning at Bog Lane in the south-east of the state, in
the Hincks Conservation Park on the Eyre Peninsula and in the Pinkawillinie Conservation
Park on the west coast.

CANBERRA, April 26 AAP - The consumer price index rose 0.9 per cent in the March quarter,
giving Australia an annual inflation rate of three per cent.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics said there were price rises across a range of goods
which led to the higher than expected quarterly figure.

Some of the biggest increases recorded during the quarter were in pharmaceuticals (up
14.2 per cent), vegetables (7.9 per cent), motor vehicles (1.4 per cent), secondary education
(6.9 per cent), tertiary education (4.8 per cent) and automotive fuel (1.4 per cent).

Offsetting these were falls in deposit and loan facilities (down 2.1 per cent), furniture
(3.2 per cent), clothing and footwear accessories (3.5 per cent) and audio, visual and

At three per cent, inflation is now at the top of the two per cent to three per cent

"We're trying to facilitate some serious existential pondering."

Matt Sly,

creator of FutureMe.org

In the year 2009, on the 25th of April, a man named Greg is supposed to get an e-mail. The e-mail will remind Greg that he is his best friend and worst enemy, that he once dated a woman named Michelle, and that he planned to major in computer science.

"More importantly," the e-mail says, "are you wearing women's clothing?"

The e-mail was sent by none other than Greg himself - through a Web site called FutureMe.org.

The site is one of a handful that let people send e-mails to themselves and others years in the future. They are technology's answer to time capsules, trading on people's sense of curiosity, accountability and nostalgia.

"Messages into the future is something that people have always sought to do," said Paul Saffo, director of the Institute for the Future. "In a way, it's a statement of optimism."

Matt Sly, 29, came up with the concept for FutureMe.org about four years ago. He was inspired one day after recalling how during his education he had been given assignments to write letters to himself.

Sly, who partnered with 31-year-old Jay Patrikios of San Francisco on the project, said the site has made maybe $58 through donations. He is adamant that FutureMe.org is not a reminder service.

The site lets people send messages 30 years from now, though Sly's numbers show most users schedule their e-mails to be sent within three years.

"We want people to think about their future and what their goals and dreams and hopes and fears are," he said. "We're trying to facilitate some serious existential pondering."

He said a large number of the messages sent do one of two basic things: tell the future person what the past person was doing at the time and ask the future person if he or she had met the aspirations of the past person.

"The tone of the past person is not always friendly," said Sly, now a Yale University graduate student. "It's often like 'Get off your lazy butt.'-"

Recently, Forbes.com jumped on the idea, offering an "e-mail time capsule" promotion. More than 140,000 letters were collected over about six weeks. Nearly 20 percent of the messages sent are supposed to land in the sender's inbox in 20 years; others requested shorter time frames. Forbes.com is partnering with Yahoo! and Codefix Consulting on the project.

"A lot of people have kind of been freaked out by it," said David Ewalt, a Forbes.com writer who worked on the project. "It really makes you stop and think about your life in a way that you usually don't."

Another type of future message service can be found at sites such as myLastEmail.com or LastWish es.com, which promise to send messages to loved ones (or less-than-loved ones) after you die.

Paul Hudson, co-founder of the International Time Capsule Society, said e-mail time capsules were new to him.

"Part of the value of time capsules are that they are thought processes in the present," said Hudson, a historian who teaches at Georgia Perimeter College. "You define yourself when you do a time capsule. It might be a good exercise in introspection."

But sometimes the past is best left behind, said Saffo, who personally finds the whole thing "sad and really weird."

Service providers try to make the delivery process fail-safe through partnerships or backup software, and they urge people to hang on to their e-mail address, but there's no ironclad guarantee that the message will ever arrive.

Technology changes. Companies go out of business. Spam filters might get in the way.

Still, that hasn't deterred a sizable number of people from signing up.

On FutureMe.org, where more than 112,000 messages have been written, many writers are confident enough to make their e-mails - though not necessarily their names - public.

"I hope that I've learned to take responsibility for my actions - to not be passive-aggressive and to not avoid things that are scary for me," one wrote. "I hope I've changed a little."

"Are you missing an eye? If so, I apologize," wrote another. And, of course, the cautious optimist: "Hell, I hope you're still alive."

Aryans

Aryans The Aryans (Sanskrit: ārya; Old Iranian: airya) were Indo-European tribes who migrated from Eastern Europe to Central Asia in the third millennium BCE. They were patriarchal warriors who brought powerful male gods with them as they migrated eventually into Greece, Anatolia, the Fertile Crescent, Iran, and India. For some time (c. 2200–2000 BCE), the ancestors of the Vedic (after the Vedas—later Indian) and Iranian (Avestan—after the Avesta) Aryans lived together in the same region—probably around Balkh, and developed the religious positions that were the source for Zoroastrianism and Hinduism (see Zoroastrian entries, see Hindu entries). The Aryans who invaded India and Iran in the second millennium BCE were, therefore, closely related to each other. Thus we have the term Indo-Iranian, which is often used synonymously with Aryan. The Indo-Iranian gods were divided into Asuras (Ahura in Iran) and Devas (daeva in Iran). The protoreligion was based on a universal law that became the Vedicṛta (see Vedas) and the Avestan asa (see Avesta). The Vedic supervisor of the law was Vaṛuna (see Varuṇa) and the Avestan head god was Ahura Mazda (see Ahura Mazda). During the migration to India and the wars involved with it, the cult of Indra (see Indra) as king of the gods developed. Fire worship was central to the Aryans and to their Vedic and Avestan expressions, as was the tradition of the holy drink—the Vedic soma (see Soma) and the Avestan haoma. Powerful sacred verses or mantras (see Mantra) and hymns were important to both groups. There was the hope of an afterlife (see Afterlife) and there were sacrificial rituals. Aryans generally looked down on the darker-skinned “barbarian” peoples they conquered—especially in India. The mytho-religious system of the Indo-Aryans is revealed by what we now call the Vedic texts, the best known of which is the Ṛg Veda (see Ṛg Veda). Hinduism developed from the Vedic tradition in India and Zoroastrianism out of the early Aryan religion and mythology expressed eventually in the Avesta in Iran.

Cable&Wireless Worldwide Extends its Smart Grid Portfolio.

Cable&Wireless Worldwide has enhanced its smart grid enabling

portfolio with smart grid substation automation products and solutions, taking the next step towards helping utilities create an intelligent communications network that will aid in the development of the UK's smart grid.

Substation automation ensures uninterrupted electric power flow through several layers of switching, protection & control equipment and transformers in the electrical generation, transmission, and distribution system. By monitoring substation operating conditions and performance, substation automation ensures electricity supply will remain stable. This is particularly relevant for a smart grid as it will need to accommodate renewable energy supplies and variable power sources. Substation automation adds robust data communications to electricity utilities' substation sites, enabling them to deliver smart grid solutions securely as they seek to revolutionise the electricity network and maintain security of supply for consumers and businesses.

C&W Worldwide is facilitating the development of the smart grid and is the first company in Europe to receive accreditation for Cisco's Substation Automation Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) Program. As such, it can deploy Cisco's high-quality, IP-based substation automation products and solutions to the electrical utility companies in the UK across its own secure next-generation network.

Paul Brodrick, Utilities Business Development Director at C&W Worldwide, comments: "A digital communications infrastructure is essential for establishing an intelligent smart grid, a key component in ensuring the nation achieves the goals set in the UK Government's Low Carbon Economy. With substation automation products and solutions running over C&W Worldwide's secure next-generation network we can create a reliable, secure and scalable communications network for the smart grid."

C&W Worldwide already has a strong heritage in the utility sector through the assimilation of Energis, THUS and Your Comms with roots from National Grid, ScottishPower and United Utilities, giving it in-depth understanding of the issues faced by electricity suppliers and distributors.

C&W Worldwide has more than 1,100 operational network sites in the UK, many of them co-located at substations and on the transmission companies'

real-estate and in excess of 20,000 route kilometres of glass fibre, most of it wrapped around the earth wire of much of the UK's energy transmission networks.

Brodrick continues: "Substation automation is the next stage of C&W Worldwide's evolution into smarts. It is already a member of the Cisco Smart Grid Ecosystem, which aims to facilitate the adoption of Internet Protocol (IP)-based communications standards for smart grids. Through relationships such as this we can provide utilities with a compelling suite of smart grid enabling solutions and a secure next-generation network to connect it all."

World IPv6 Day Testing the Interneta[euro](tm)s readiness.

M2 PRESSWIRE-June 8, 2011-: World IPv6 Day Testing the Interneta[euro](tm)s readiness(C)1994-2011 M2 COMMUNICATIONS

RDATE:08062011

On 8th June 2011, many websites around the world, including Google and Facebook will be 'turning on' IPv6-support for 24 hours as a test to identify any problems in IPv6 rollout.

Every computer connected to the Internet has an 'IP address' which is used to route traffic across the network. It is the Internet equivalent of a phone number. At present, most of the Internet runs on Internet Protocol Version 4 (or IPv4 for short) however we are approaching the limit of the 4.3 billion available addresses as more of the world's population comes online.

The new IP version 6 (IPv6) protocol[1] has been around for well over a decade but there has been no real incentive for widescale deployment whilst there has been a plentiful supply of IPv4 addresses. Only in the last year has the topic of IPv6 adoption been in the headlines and we are now seeing some rapid deployment by many of the larger networks as well as consumer equipment manufacturers.

On 8th June 2011, dubbed "World IPv6 Day" at (no time specified) UTC (01:00 BST), some of the world's largest websites such as Google and Facebook, will be enabling IPv6 across their servers, for a 24-hour 'test run' to identify the scale of any problems. They will be joined by companies such as Cisco Systems and other network equipment vendors to identify any remaining issues which need to be addressed. Many such organisations have run limited IPv6 trials or rollouts for some time, but this global test is seen as both as an opportunity to spread the message of the importance of IPv6 rollout, and to identify any final hurdles.

A very small number of users (around 0.05%) may be using combinations of systems which may experience problems with the dual-stack configuration (IPv4 and IPv6 running simultaneously) and this testing is partly necessary to confirm the current extent of this problem.

The move to IPv6 is the Internet equivalent of inserting additional digits into phone numbers, to cope with an increasing demand for telephone lines.

"The vast majority of Internet users will not see anything different on 8th June," explains Sebastien Lahtinen, co-founder of thinkbroadband.com. "Most of the time we type in addresses like www.facebook.com into a web browser, and our computer and the Domain Name System (DNS) takes care of converting this into an IP address, so we don't have to remember IP addresses[2] themselves" he adds.

Many websites including thinkbroadband.com are already available over IPv6 for visitors who have IPv6 enabled broadband connections.

Useful tools:

You can use the IPv6 test tool to check if your broadband connection supports IPv6 and compare IPv6 and IPv4 speeds: IPv6 Test www.thinkbroadband.com/ipv6

[1] IPv6 address space is 340,282,366,920,938,000,000,000,000,000 billion addresses (or 2128). With IPv6, the Internet could double in size every year, and we would still have enough addresses for the next 96 years.

S.KOREA SEEKS INTL CO-OP FOR FURTHER PROBE INTO CYBER ATTACK.

SEOUL, May 4 Asia Pulse - South Korea's prosecution has sought international cooperation in investigating the origin of an Internet Protocol (IP) address used by North Korea in last month's cyber attack of a South Korean bank, officials said Wednesday.

The prosecution has asked for help from 13 countries to determine exactly which of the 27 overseas computer servers that left traces on the laptop computer used for the attack were directly involved in the attack, they said.

The 13 countries, including China, Taiwan, the United States, Brazil and Ukraine, are where the servers are located.

The banking network of the South Korean agricultural cooperative, known as Nonghyup, crashed on April 12, keeping its nearly 20 million clients from using automated teller machines and online banking services for a few days and partially crippling its credit card services for weeks.

On Tuesday, the prosecution concluded that the North's intelligence organization was responsible for the attack, saying the technique used in the hacking was similar to those used in two previous attacks by the North on South Korean Web sites.

The hackers used the laptop owned by an employee of a Nonghyup subcontractor for hacking into the bank's servers after turning it into a "zombie computer" operated remotely, according to the prosecution.

Prosecutors also said one of the 27 IP addresses that left traces on the laptop computer used for the April 12 attack was identical to one used in the distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attack in March this year also blamed on North Korea.

But they failed to figure out which of the addresses was directly used for the latest attack.

Wednesday's move is to determine exactly which one was involved and what role it played in the attack, the prosecutors said. They are also trying to find out whether there is an IP address that North Korea borrowed for cyber terror as well as the actual owners of the IP addresses.

But investigators have had some trouble in investigating the connection between an IP address and the North Korean authorities as China is reluctant to help in the probe.

"Among the countries, only China is uncooperative," said an official from the Supreme Prosecutors' Office in charge of the probe. "We keep trying to convince Beijing as both countries signed a memorandum of understanding on investigation cooperation."

CIRCUS CIRCUS CLOSES BANK DEAL

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Circus Circus Enterprises, Inc., (NYSE: CIR) has closed the largest corporate credit facility ever negotiated by a gaming-only company. The $1.5 billion line of credit is unsecured and carries a five-year term with no reduction in the facility's size during the first four years.

The credit facility will provide ready financing for the Company's expansion plans over the next four years as well as for other corporate purposes. "This transaction demonstrates Circus' competitive strength as a low-cost acquirer of financing," said Glenn Schaeffer, President and CFO of Circus Circus Enterprises, Inc. The Company will continue to apply free cash flow to expansion projects as well. This bank facility replaces Circus' $750 million agreements which were expanded to $900 million when the Company acquired Gold Strike Resorts in 1995. The new facility is being provided by a consortium of 26 U.S. and international banks, with Bank of America as the administrative agent.

Circus has also positioned itself to take advantage of favorable rates in the debt securities markets. The Company filed a shelf registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in December of 1995 for the issuance of up to $400 million in debt securities, which was declared effective on January 11, 1996. Today Circus filed with the SEC a prospectus supplement relating to the issuance of $200 million in senior unsecured debt notes with a maturity of 10 years. Proceeds will be used to reduce most of the Company's outstanding bank borrowings.

Circus has commenced construction on an approximately 2,000-room addition, in two identical towers, at Luxor and a 1,000 room tower at Circus Circus-Las Vegas, with both projects slated for operation before year end 1996. Meanwhile, the 3,014 room Monte Carlo, the company's joint venture with Mirage Resorts, Incorporated (NYSE: MIR), is under construction on the Las Vegas Strip and is scheduled to open before July 1996.

Aluminum Art Deco screen shows the style's signatures.

Byline: Leslie Hindman

Q. I have a fire screen depicting Diana the Huntress that measures 35 inches high and 41 inches wide. Even though it's made of some kind of soft metal, it's heavy. I haven't been able to find any information on this, and I can't find any marks or signatures on the piece. I would really appreciate any information you can find.

_Wanda Bjerke, Grand Forks, N.D.

A. This fire screen combines three signature Art Deco motifs: a nude, an allusion to the moon, and motion. As you note in your letter, Diana, Roman goddess of the hunt, is portrayed in rapid pursuit of two deer, and she also serves as a symbol of the moon.

The year 1925 marked a pivotal point for the recognition of the Art Deco movement with L'Exposition International des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris. Most European nations took part in the exposition to showcase their streamlined designs, reflecting the innovations inherent to the industrial progress of the early 20th century.

The Art Deco period, which took place between the World Wars, evolved from its predecessor, Art Nouveau, a decorative movement that embraced naturalistic images of, for instance, highly stylized vines and foliage. In contrast, Art Deco sought to embody a futuristic look while still maintaining the elegant style of Art Nouveau. Initially it was the domain of esteemed artisans, but as the style grew in popularity, many objects in the Art Deco manner were manufactured for mass consumption. This accounts for the absence of a mark on your fire screen, because many unknown designers worked in the same style.

The fire screen is made of aluminum, a lightweight metal, and is used to keep embers safely in the fireplace. Due to a great interest in elegant and sophisticated style of Art Deco, your screen is worth about $1,000.

Q. After my father was wounded in World War II, he was a patient at Hines Veterans Hospital near Maywood. The artist Thomas Hart Benton did this drawing of my father while he visited wounded soldiers. Although it is priceless to me, I am interesting in knowing its actual value.

_Kay Johnson, Clarendon Hills, Ill.

A. American Regionalist painter Thomas Hart Benton (1889-1975) is famous for the murals he painted in the 1930s and as the teacher of painter Jackson Pollock. Though Benton made propaganda posters during World War II, there is no record of his going to visit war veterans. The signature on your drawing varies from those Benton signatures listed for comparison, so if you were to consign this piece for auction, it would most likely be listed as a work "Attributed to Benton." Since landscapes are generally of greater interest to collectors than portraits, this portrait might fetch $500.

QuoteMedia Supplies Investor Relations Services to Employment Portals.

Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 25, 2003

QuoteMedia, Inc. (OTCBB:QMCI) announced today a contract to supply investor relations services for a group of online employment portals under the management of CareerExchange Interactive Corp.

The contract calls for the supply of integrated financial data on CareerExchange Interactive's websites, including careerexchange.com and sonicrecruit.com. Data supplied by QuoteMedia will allow investors to locate market information directly from CareerExchange.

Jason Moreau, CareerExchange's chief operations officer, says his firm will benefit from its ability to educate and communicate with its individual shareholders, as well as provide up-to-date information to potential company investors.

"We value the real time auto-updated market data to keep our shareholders and future shareholders in touch with current events at CRX," says Moreau. "With a simple, one-click setup, shareholders can locate comprehensive market data including quotes, charts, SEC Filings and more."

QuoteMedia's investor relations services include a full range of data applications that are bundled into one convenient package for use by public companies to present updated market information within their online presence. Various service levels exist, from simple quote lookups to fully embedded applications that show current and historical equity values, along with updated news feeds, SEC filings and information, along with a variety of visual charting options.

QuoteMedia CEO Dave Shworan says his company's investor relations services now represent a significant portion of overall data sales as public companies discover the ease, value and benefits of posting their own stock information online.

"The Internet is probably the single most-used medium for the dissemination of market data today," notes Shworan. "More and more public companies have come to realize that it is essential to satisfy the hunger for online information from their investors. There is no better avenue to relay this information than directly from their own websites."

Moreau agrees, saying QuoteMedia has compiled a streamlined, but comprehensive product line that eliminates the challenge facing firms wishing to display corporate financial data to their visitors.

"QuoteMedia made our decision an easy one," he says. "They have superior products, a real commitment to customer service, and their component pricing is the best we found on the market. What more could we ask for?"
