Freeserve, the pioneering free Internet Service Provider and the UK's largest ISP, has unveiled the first content for its new education channel. Launched just in time for GCSE revision. Freeserve's new free revision guide for GCSE Maths and English is now available to all visitors to www.freeserve.net. The new revision guide is provided by SAM Learning and is the only revision product to be endorsed by the National Associations of Head Teachers (NAHT).

The SAM Learning Method (Self-Assessment & Marking) guides exam candidates through all aspects of the GCSE National Curriculum. from algebra to basic writing skills. and includes advice for parents. The guide prepares users for revision by suggesting key revision points and offers advice on tackling exam-style questions. explaining how examiners allocate marks. Candidates receive instant feedback from SAM which identifies their strengths and weaknesses and helps them set new targets. The revision guide also looks at how to achieve exam success and provides 'top tips for D-Day'.

Freeserve's comprehensive revision guide currently offers help with GCSE Maths and English plus KS2 SATs Maths and KS3 SATs Maths. Additional subject modules. including Science and an online atlas. encyclopaedia and a dictionary will be added to the education channel very soon Freeserve customers have emailed feedback on the education channel content since it went live on the site last week. Malcolm Goode, a user from the West Midlands. said: "As a thirty something parent I think this is a good format. I found it quite useful from my perspective. I haven't been to school for years and I scored 74 per cent in one of the Maths options. I think my 13 year old son will find it very useful."
