SA: Digger falls short of his final wish = 2

Federal Minister for Veterans' Affairs Bruce Scott later paid tribute to Mr Robinson.

"Mr Robinson helped to define the qualities of courage, determination and mateship
displayed by the Anzacs and by the men and women of the Australian Defence Force in the
86 years since," Mr Scott said in a statement.

"We honour him for having fought to make a difference so that others might live in peace."

Mr Robinson's death meant only 24 known Australian World War I veterans remained living,
Mr Scott said.
